Wielding Favor and Glory - You Can Do It!

Our final meeting for the fall was full of discussion as we considered what the word "glory" means.

Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 11:7 how woman is the glory of man. Does this offend you? Actually it is possibly the highest compliment that could be paid a woman.

“Glory” is defined as "magnificence, splendor, beauty, and wonder." That's right. He's talking about you. Woman. You are the magnificence, splendor, beauty and wonder of man.

(pause for awe)

This session also pointed out the critical aspect of the relational dynamics glory represents. You see, when men and women live withOUT complementing and completing each other, no one benefits. We all diminish.

And we're not just talking in marriage. This is at work. in families. Every where.

As we considered the Word of God represented in Scripture as a two-edged sword, it gets interesting to think about how a man would wield such a sword and how a woman would wield it. The upper-body strength for a woman better accommodates the flat edge of the sword.

Illustrated above, when a warrior is knighted, their position is expanded, glorified, and favor is bestowed. It enlarges their position and increases their capacity.

Since women are better suited for using the flat edge you can see how women can elevate those around them wielding favor and glory.

A huge task. But then, think about the men in your lives: sons, co-workers, husbands, boyfriends ... Then think of the other women: daughters, girlfriends, sisters... How much greater would their lives be if you took time to enlarge them. To show them how they compliment you or others in their lives. 

God doesn't task any of us with any thing He has not already anointed us to do. In other words, You. Can. Do. This. He has empowered and given you everything you need.
