Women's Bible Study launches August 14

Each of these symbols represent the weapons women have been given by God. Can you guess what they represent?

For eight Sundays women are invited to learn how to "Fight Like A Girl". This Bible study will break through the noise in our lives.

Written by Lisa Bevere from Messenger international, this study challenges women to accept – and celebrate – themselves as God created them. Lisa reveals how women's femininity is actually their greatest strength.

There is so much to talk about you'll want to set aside 1.5 hours.

About the Author:

About the Facilitator:

Janet Brister is facilitating the study. She's been called "The Encourager" by some at APBC which sums up her mission - to encourage her fellow sisters and brothers to find the purpose God created them for and then reach their potential within that purpose.

Regarding this study, Janet said, "I wish the study had been made available to me in college. That was about the time the women's movement was at its peak and their message was all about equality of the sexes.

"I always agreed pay should have nothing to do with gender in the workforce but, to me, that equality ended right there. The confusing message I heard was to be equal to a man, you had to act like a man. And it was women's job to put on their boots and 'walk all over' the men.

"I look around me today and believe we are living in a very confused society when it comes to gender and the roles of men and women. This study brings clarity."
