Haiti Commissioning Service

Please be in prayer for our Haiti mission team as they prepare for their trip.

Haiti was a country devastated by natural disaster when much of their industry and infrastructure was destroyed by a catastrophic 7.0 magnitude earthquake in 2010. Despite aid from many different types of organizations, in many ways Haiti has yet to fully recover. That's why our work every year in Haiti is so important: while we offer our help, we can also offer hope by taking Christ's message with us. We can share that although mankind was once ruined by a fall, God doesn't leave us there. Redemption is available and salvation is possible. God wants every person to be saved.

Our team will leave Friday July 21st and return on Friday July 28th. Please keep them in your prayers as they make their journey.

Pastor:  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new.  (2 Cor. 5:17)

Missionaries:  Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.    (2 Cor. 5:18)

Congregation:  For we are God's fellow workers...For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.  (1 Cor. 3:9, 11)

Pastor:   That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.    (2 Cor. 5:19)

Missionaries:   Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.    (2 Cor. 5:20)

Congregation:  For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.   (2 Cor. 5:21)

Pastor:  (Acts 13:1-4)

We come together today to set apart these who have been called by God to do special service in Haiti.  We have come to pledge ourselves to support them as they go to minister in the name of the Lord.

Missionaries:  And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.    (1 John 4:14)

Pastor:  In love we hear the words of Jesus to His disciples after the resurrection.

Missionaries:  But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.  (Acts 1:8)

Congregation:  “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen (Matthew 28:19-20)

Pastor:  How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?    (Romans 10:14)

Congregation:  And how shall they hear without a preacher?  And how shall they preach, except they are sent?    (Romans 10:14-15)

Missionaries:  I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?  Then said I, Here am I; send me.  (Isaiah 6:8)

Pastor:  As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"  (Romans 10:15)

Congregation:   We thank God for these who will represent Jesus first and Aspen Park second on the mission field.

Missionaries:  We confess our feelings of inadequacy to meet the challenge before us.  Christian Family, pray for us, that we might claim victory in our God who has already gone before us and prepared the way.

Congregation:  We challenge you to go in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit.  We commit ourselves to pray for you during the time ahead.
