We all have expectations of our own lives, the behavior of others, and even our walk with God. We suffer a crisis of reality when our expectations clash with reality. Whatever your expectations are, realize that Jesus is enough.

Jesus gives us some clues that certain things have preeminent value in our lives. Although there are many aspects of our lives that are sometimes valuable to us, there are certain things we should make our priority as Christians

We don’t always go to the Lord at the right time or for the right reasons. What indicates that a person’s faith is authentic? Authentic faith trusts Jesus day by day, for God’s sake rather than our own, and inspires us to be obedient to Him.

Just as a person can’t live without water or food, we also need spiritual water and spiritual food. When you are unsatisfied in life, you feel the need to fill it with something. Last sermon we saw the renewal that comes with the living water of Jesus—this week we look at the spiritual food we fill our lives with.

No matter how empty, dry, or hopeless your life seems, if you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, He will fill you up with living water. For those who have already accepted Him and feel the the well springing up within themselves, Jesus gives us a calling to share the gospel with everyone we meet.

Nicodemus came to Jesus as a knowledgeable man, but was desperate for belief in his heart. We can relate to Nicodemus when we learn that we can’t know Jesus through worldly understanding. Being a Christian is about more than knowing the Bible; it requires a change in your heart.
