God is intentionally sowing seeds in your life—what are you doing about it? What type of soil are you providing for those seeds? Live your life in such a way that you allow God’s seeds to take root and bear fruit.

Jesus’s preaching of parables helped present the truth of God’s word in a way we can understand and relate to. God as the sower creates all life through the seed of the gospel. We are represented by soil, the catalyst with which to grow that seed into fruit. Christ calls us to be fertile soil, through which the gospel prospers in abundance.

No matter how much experience we may have, we are always growing in Christ. But, like a weed, worldly concerns are always growing, too— and they may threaten to choke out spiritual growth. It’s important that we put aside worldly things and not allow them to take root in our lives!

There are so many troubles, challenges, and conflicts in the world that make us anxious, but we have been given balm for our worries. God desires that each of us grow and mature in the grace and knowledge of Jesus.
